Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

Hello,
    I recently dumped a twilight princess ISO onto my laptop and tried to play it but it always crashes after the "adjust brightness screen" or, in other words, tries to actually start the game. my friend who has the same computer as me can run the game fine and to top it off we have the same version of dolphin. I downloaded directx and the recommended redistributables. please help

First off, the version you're using is rather old--download the version at the top of the downloads list, and see if it works there. If it doesn't, check the md5 of the dump against a known good dump to make sure nothing went wrong during the dumping process.

if that's the case then it's probably a bad dump. go get a newer version like karausukun said. You can calculate the MD5 by right clicking on the game in Dolphin UI, going to properties>info>MD5.
