Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

So over the next few weeks, I want to start doing textures for Soul Calibur II Characters and eventually move on to doing some stage textures too. Today, I have for you a re texture of Link that I made myself. The pack also includes .NRM files for use with ishiiruka as well.

Here is a close up screenshot of his tunic and hair texture. I really wanted to highlight his hair because I used a bit of displacement and nrm maps and combined with what is a pretty damn good hair model, it gives the illusion of realistic hair strands.

Next up on my list is Taki. I will be focusing on her famous red outfit. 

Which reminds me, For outfits I will be focusing on what is deemed Primary outfits first. Afterwards i'll move on to stages, and then alternate outfits last.

I'm looking forward to this. I wonder if you have kept up on it.

Thanks. I was kinda afraid no one liked it due to the lack of feedback. XD

Anyway, im still working on it. My upgrade to 4k has kinda hampered my work ethic. Spending to much time admiring games and not enough time texturing. 

Ha, ha! Fair enough. I've spent so much time setting things up in the past instead of playing. This is a game that holds up rather well despite its age (except for the hair and water physics, or the lack thereof) and would certainly benefit form some texture work.

Wow you made my day when I seen this.  These textures are amazing! Please continue making textures for this game.
By the way these textures are really good at 5x internal resolution, that's where they look there best!

Thanks! ^.^ If my I get my day off tomorrow, i'll get back to work then and hopefully have my taki texture ready. Speaking of, whats dolphin's policy on nude mods because taki would be easy to do.

I will put this very directly. If you just post images of that nature directly to this page, you will be banned very quickly. There is the NSFW spoiler tag element to the rules, but the question remains as whether such a use would be considered artistic expression. Personally, there is every indication from this thread is that it's just for personal enjoyment and arousal, and I would not count it as artistic. But Shonumi has the final verdict on the exact definition of the rules.

I will put this very directly. If you just post images of that nature directly to this page, you will be banned very quickly. Appreciate the responce! I'll just make it youtube exclusive to prevent issue. Also i just wanted to note that I don't like that you used arousal to describe my reasoning. It's not as if im wanking to the idea of creating a nude mod. I just think in the case of the character, it would be Really easy to do since the character wears a skin tight clothes and has actual nipples built into the model. XD
