I can get an i3-6300 for about $25 more.

I'd like to play Xenoblade Chronicles in 1080p with HD textures(everything I guess). I'd also like to play F-ZERO GX in HD, along with plenty more less-demanding games. How will they run on this CPU? Is it too weak for proper emulation?
That CPU should be pretty good for Dolphin (since it's a Skylake and the frequency isn't too bad). IIRC, you can even overclock it if you have a compatible motherboard.
So I should be able to run Xenoblade with all the HD textures?

They patched that.

Only if you update your motherboard BIOS

Or if it comes with the update.
Ah, that's too bad :/ good I didn't buy a Skylake i3 (which I wanted to overclock to replace my current G3258).
Skylake i3 + new mobo upgrade + DDR4 would cost as much as i7 4790k though
And btw , I don't think the @OP will overclock . After all , he chose H110 mobo that does not support non-K OC
@FinalSmash: This is a high-frequency current gen Intel CPU. It will work very well. Don't listen to the marketing guys telling you this is only the i3, we neither can't use more than a dual core, so buying i5 or a i7 is just wasted money. But for XC with HD textures, you should buy more RAM. Else you can't use texture prefetching.

I remember reading somewhere on these forums that Dolphin can use 4 cores now so it wasn't true?
