What's causing this issue is that you're running an incomplete application, that performs an incredibly complex task, written by approximately 1-3 people over the course of several years in the minutes (not hours, or days) of weekly spare time they have.
It just isn't very likely that those people are going to dedicate those minutes of spare time to solving your very specific problem; they're going to work on the things that are important to them. That's the root cause of this issue.
