Hi everyone! First post, thanks for having me.

So according to the dolphin wiki I got myself a brand new official controller (bad reviews on third party clones at similar prices made me buy this one) and a brand new official Wii U GC controller adapter (it was roughly the same price as importing the mayflash selectable type would've been, so why not go nintendo)

Tried both the latest Dolphin developer build version, then installed the first version that the wiki referred to for native support for the adapter/GC controller, but neither work.

I want to play Wind Waker (never had a gamecube), and while the latest dev. build recognizes the adapter, the controller can't be configured, and it doesn't controll the game (I reckon the small "start/pause" button in the centre of the controller is the START button the game asks me to press :-)

I then installed version 4.0-4599 according to the wiki page, to see if it works, but nothing...

What's the story here? Is there a USB port preference? I tried all three I have on my laptop, no difference. I tried various adapter ports, makes no difference either. Can there be multiple installations of Dolphin on one machine, or does it mess up things?

Huh Dodgy Undecided

Thanks for your time and help!

EDIT: I fucked up.

Anyways, I had the same problem, but I got it to work when I followed this guide: https://dolphin-emu.org/docs/guides/how-use-official-gc-controller-adapter-wii-u/

I deleted all previous drivers and software I had tried, and used only Zadig and Dolphin 4.0-8750.
EDIT: I'm fucking up badly over here. Sorry
Forgot to mention, when I start up a current version (4.0-8762 x64) and the wii u gc adapter is in the controller options submenu, when I try to configure it, I get the message "driver not detected". Do you still need a driver for the adapter?
No idea. Which drivers have you installed?
I haven't installed any, since I thought native support meant no drivers neccessary with the nintendo adapter
Follow the guide I linked and install wup-028 with Zadig.
Idea Blush which may in fact be the problem...
