There is a workaround (not solution) for speed.
Enable Dual-Core mode, then depending on the game use Frameskipping or Watchdog, i haven't tested frameskipping recently so i don't know if it works with D3D plugin, surely does with OGL.

Have you tried auto-scale setting? It might help with the viewport being misplaced.
I already have that option enabled, MP2 would be even worse without it, but i'm no longer interested in discussing that. I can't seem to find a auto scale option with the Direct 3D9 plugin, where exactly is it?

hmmn i see, its an option for the OpenGL plugin, well, the OpenGL plugin isn't having this problem. Instead its having numerous glitches in text boxes as shown in the following screenshot here http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u45/rmcin329/Marioparty6textboxproblems.jpg
The text box errors are almost non existant with the Direct 3DL plugin, but it instead runs into the problem shown in the other screenshot.
