Thanks guys.
Tried this one Qualcomm Atheros QCA9565 Bluetooth 3.0
Synced fine the first time, now I cant sync the controller no matter what I try, disconnecting the bt dongle, reset sync, sync, nothing seems to work.
Probably a pc reboot will do the trick.
So probably this adapter is not completely compatible.
I have some broadcom lying aorund to test.
Have you tried unplugging the BT dongle and replugging it? Some adapters can get completely stuck for seemingly no reason :/
Yes, tried that.
Not sure which buttons should I use to reconnect. But tried everything (1+2, sync again, A, etc)
BTW bt icon tray is gone when you use winusb/libusb drivers in case anyone want to know this.
Will try a pc reboot.
You should be able to reconnect your Wiimotes the exact same way as on a Wii. So if the Wiimote is paired (and assuming your adapter didn't forget the pairing...), it's a simple button press.
To sync Wiimotes, you trigger an emulated sync button in Dolphin (either with the Sync button in the controller config dialog, or with the hotkey) and then press the sync button on the Wiimote.
And yes, the BT icon is gone because your system has no other BT adapter to use for Bluetooth (since Dolphin took over your only adapter for passthrough).
Hi, more testing
No way to reconnect.
Did a pc reboot, it´s working again. But only the first time, then there is no way to reconnect. Even resetting and syncning again doesnt do nothing. After a reboot it will be fine for the first use.
So, probably this bt adapter is a no go.
Will try a broadcom and report back.
Tried broadcom chipset.
This one will only reconnect using the sync button every time.
If you press a button the second time, lights will blink for a sec (3 blinks more or less) and turn off. Not a normal blink, much shorter.
So, looks like this one also is not fully compatible.
And a little more testing. If the game is running I can hold power button on wiimote to turn it off, then by a single button press will sync again.
If I close the game, I need to use the sync button on both dolphin and wiimote (it will blink 3 times and turn off If I dont use sync)
One adapter I have behaves the exact same way. It's an adapter issue.
Another I have has 100% feature compatibility, but it randomly stops working. So it's not a good adapter either…
I think the broadcom one uses the same chip as the wii bt module.
Not sure if Im doing something wrong.
Tried another one (not sure what chip have) and the same
Edit. One more, a CSR, this one wont sync at all.
So, 0 of 4 different chipsets so far.
Wow, that's pretty unlucky. Do they really not work at all? I tried 3 adapters, and all three worked more and less…
Also, make sure you unplug your previous adapter before plugging the new one, or Dolphin may just keep using the same old, broken adapter
