Oh, I see. Maybe a check box to do continuous sync. But well, if it will bring problems, better avoid. I guess it will depend on how many bt adapters will work. If the compatibiity list is big, no reason to do that kind of stuff. In my case only wii bt module works fine (not counting sept20 build). Atheros resync fine, but crash, crash and.. crash. Most disturbing is hear the windows disconnect something sound, not sure why this happen on some adapters after some time with libusb, but when that happens, bt adapter is no longer available. So, 1 out of 5 bt adapters Big Grin

Do you have the wii bt module to test sept20 build?
@leo, dont know how near is this pr from merge, but remember that wii bt module is still broken. Wont resync with one press button, unless you use an older pr build.

BTW, if anyone wants to try, this uses the same chipset as the "Wii U" https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Broadcom-UtechSmart-Raspberry-Compatible/dp/B00DDH4TYA (Broadcom BCM20702)
Does the latest build fix it?

Hi leo. sept24 build is worst.

Replaced files, open dolphin. wiimotes were synced with sept16 build. Hit a single button and guess what? It blink a second and refuse the connection. Just like the non fully working bt adapters, but using the wii bt module (maybe now we can now why adapters refuse connections?)

So, deleted synced controllers on dolphin. And tried to sync from scratch. Wiimotes wont sync at all. reboot pc, still nothing.

Installed sept 16 build, wiimotes synced. sept16 has other problems like pressing a button on controller n2, will turn on also n1. And some other weird things, but Works.
Hmm, this is going to be pretty hard for me to identify the problem without a Bluetooth packet log (from Wireshark for example). As I said, the issue is probably with the link key workaround, but without a log, it's hard to know what is going wrong (especially when I can't reproduce it since it only fails for specific adapters).

Thanks leo for all the hard work. I guess I can do some log.

Will read a Little about wireshark.

BTW, there is a guy on the PR that uses the wii bt module. Maybe he can help more.

Also jmc47 was looking for a wii bt module.

Weird thing is, now other adpters Works better than the wii bt module Big Grin And seems like the wii bt module can forget keys and refuse connections like any other bt module.

Also if you have sept17 to sept19 builds, I can test so we can see where things went wrong.
I'm still setting it up. Sorry, but I'm not a master solderer and I'm winging it more or less.
Well, you dont need to be a master to solder 4 cables Big Grin Big Grin

If you need some help, ask Smile

Share some pictures when done, if you want.
I've made a change to try to make the link key stuff more robust (and wait for the link key commands to be completed before resuming the game; this also means that the workaround should now be completely transparent to the games)

Also, the link key workaround is skipped for the Wii Bluetooth module, since we know it doesn't need it.

Hi leo, will help reporting while we wait till jmc47 figure it out how to use the solder Big Grin

Tried new build, it s better than the previous one. wiimotes will pair at least, using sync button on both sides. But one button sync is a no go, it wont refuse the conection now, controller just blink 5 or 10 seconds and nothing.

EDIT: tested on generic BT adapter too. One button sync still works fine on generic ones.
