Yes, build with that was crashing constantly when launching games or dolphin.
Probably passthrough will need the wii bt module to be problem free. Or some dirty hacks will be needed
I still wonder how easy is to break the connection. ie, moving the controller and some speaker data wont reach the wiimote. Dont know if real wii has some workarounds for this. Connection seems stronger on console.
Even I have a custom made bt adapter that will work from other floor. But you can easily make lose some speaker data standing in front of the bt adapter.

Hi leo. With latest changes to the pr, even wii bt module cant connect to the wiimotes once you close the game, they just blink and need to hit sync button again on dolphin and wiimote.
Not sure what you mean. Are you saying that after you stop emulation and start a game again, you can't connect Wiimotes with a single button press, and instead need to pair them again?
Yes, even had to unplug the wii bt module cause wont pair even hitting sync button on both sides. Only first time Works fine, then reboot or unplug needed..
Single button press doesnt work to resync after stop emulation. This worked fine on sept14 pr build.
I didn't touch the link keys code, so it seems weird that it doesn't work for you anymore (still does for me, in fact).
Similarly, in the latest push, I only added back some code to reset the adapter and addressed some code review comments, so it should be working just like before (Sept 16th).
By the way, Sept 14th doesn't have the stored link key stuff. If possible, can you try removing the "store link keys" commit and see if it fixes something?

Hi again. Not sure how to do that.
But, I did the following, replaced files with sept14 build, works fine.
Replaced files with sept16 build, works fine.
In both cases no need to do anything, not even pair again, just a button press.
Replaced files with sept20 (latest build). Button press, lights keep blinking, wont sync. Had to hit sync button on both sides, and after closing a game, wont sync with single button press.
Tried with genuine and generic wiimotes, all the same. And also on 2 different pc. If you have another builds to try, just tell me. I only downloaded those 3.
I'll see if it's possible to reproduce this. The only real significant change was the link keys commit, which was added to fix some other adapters…
You can build an up-to-date version, but without the link key commit, by checking out 8818eee then building it as usual.

Im just an end user, no idea what you say
BTW, tried with generic BT adapter (atheros) and sync with a single button press on sept20 build.
So, wii bt module is the one failing to sync with single button press.
Another thing about the BT adapters (a lot of them

) that refuse connection after closing and opening another game.
You can use sync on both sides again. BUT you can also use sync on dolphin and 1+2 on wiimote and will sync again. Im pretty sure we can apply some workaround there. Something like continuos scanning, but continous sync.
Honestly, I'm not a big fan of adding even more workarounds (hacks) to make broken adapters work. There is already a workaround (storing link keys) and as you can see, it may already have ended up breaking the Wii BT module.
And continuous sync would be basically continuous scanning, but with even more (possibly unwanted) effects (such as syncing Wiimotes without intending to). The Wii does not do this and I see no good reason for passthrough mode to either, especially since the usefulness is arguable and it'd complicate the implementation even more.
