So yeah, I finally decided to take the plunge and get Dolphin since I no longer have my Wii to play around with mods on. I got Dolphin up and running no problem and only needed a few tries to get Eternal Darkness running like it did when I played it on the wii. I have a few video glitches, but that might actually be the game. (No seriously, it loves to screw with your head. It's half the fun of it)

Unfortunately, I really want to run my games in full screen. Not that big of an issue, I can do that fine. I just can't quit the game or even leave the full screen. Attempting to return to windowed mode results in a smaller game window that still functions, but at the native GC resolution and the rest of the screen is just black. If I try to quit or end the emulation, the game window just freezes and and I also get a black screen. What really bugs me is that the black screen persists even if I try hitting Ctrl+Alt+Del or Windows+D. I get the error beeps sometimes but that's it.

Any ideas?
Have you tried toggling exclusive fullscreen?
As in Graphics -> General tab, Display box-> Use Fullscreen (checkbox)?

Yes. I can use fullscreen just fine. It's leaving it that is the issue. I can't quit the game (by hitting escape or Alt+F4) or leave fullscreen.

I also can't Alt+Tab or anything like that. Really weird for me.
Try clicking the screen once while in fullscreen, and then try quitting or alt-tabbing.

95% sure I did that to no avail. I'll try again as I'm going to play in a sec.
Confused
No dice. I know now that if I hit escape to stop the emulator that I can see the mouse cursor and use it or find the edges of any Windows, but that doesn't help much. Same thing, if I hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete my screen just goes black, no options or shutdown button.
Alright, try checking your hotkey settings to make sure that the keys are properly bound; you could reset them to their defaults and see if that works.

Why would the hotkeys affect the screen going black? Either way they are at their defaults. I saw no need to change them once I knew what they were.
Well, if I play with a maximized window instead of full screen, I can adjust the window size and quit the game no problem
Do you have Intel Integrated Graphics? Because there's some really annoying bug in their video drivers which cause about the same problem you're describing.
