Well as i finally have set up my dolphin the way i like and have ripped some games. i was wondering if 1 Netplay actually works?!?!? ive heard some people talk about matches SSBB and hoped i could play with some friends over hamachi, but phailed misarably.

and 2. ask if there is a very clear guide for this since i did forward my port but still cant accept connections if they use my external ip and with hamachi (emulated LAN) it does not go either giving the same port warning but thats BS on a lan (right?).

ps. i have searched the forums but its just not clear on how and what.
pps. i have read something about galaxy 64, can anyone tell me what it is?
netplay doesn't need hamachi
period

all you need is whatsmyip.org & a guide on how to open ports on your router/pc

no its the same
owk then im screwed :]... can anyone confirm it working lately and can that someone tell me how he did it!?.

I mean i have forwarded my ports as told by the holy portforwarding.com and it seems to not work at all :] so what am i doing wrong.

ps.:mmm i just discovered that my modem has portforwarding too. should i forward them in both my modem and router?
modem having port forwarding? o_O;
you could try...

also; what is the error? :/ or does the "connection" just time out (udp has no connection in the first place)
Sounds like the modem IS a router as well... why have 2 routers? I mean, I have 2, but one is just a passthrough, all the router functions are disabled, I just use it as a switch for the gb interface. My good linux based router only has 100mb ports, and gig connections are much faster for LAN.

Cut out the router in between the modem and your computer. open the port on the modem/router, and try again.
Owk my situation.

A 1 port modem with PF capabilties. for the ones not believing me :] its the speedtouch 510I.

that runs to a Netgear wireless router a wgr614v9 that goes wireless to my Laptop and cabled to my Quad pc and a P4HT pc.

so i tried to forward the ports on both modem and router. for the application bitcomet (yes i didnt forward it yet :S) but i cant seem to get the ports open i tried everything. so i think my setup phailes that hard that it impossible to get it right :].

or does anyone else have the same setup and fixed it?.

ow one more thing i downloaded a older Rev with NP enabled to join some Netplay servers. that worked but it was a like ~3000r ish and phailed pretty hard at for example MP and has no frameskip so the fps drops make it even more unplayable :] though looking at ground going at warpspeed is quite fun and couldn't run SSBB at all. so did anyone make such NP dolphin for later revs? cause i'd really like to play some ssbb with some friends.
Then you have to turn off the firewall aspect of the modem, or as I said before, REMOVE the router and plug your computer directly into it and forward them to your computer.

Otherwise you would have to first forward ALL ports from the MODEM to the ROUTER. (I would have done this ni the first place anyways, this way the ROUTER works as it should... the front line to the internet... And then forward the necessary ports from the ROUTER to the PC.
netpaly is still very buggy me and one of my friends we got a 101mbps connection from optimum online ultra the fastest internet in new york and still can play that well
