Thank you Walfo, it feels good to hear people say my PC is powerful after having this abomination!
I will be able to test these games on Boxing Day (maybe the day after), so I'll let you know then!
Something else I forgot to add is that it will now have 16GB of RAM, not that it'd affect Dolphin at all, but still.
My new PC will be similar to yours except I've got an i5-6600K and a GTX 970, I can't wait to play

no, just keep your current laptop, real man play nintendo games with about 20 fps
So, I was thinking of this today.

Will running 60FPS hacks be more intensive on my CPU?
Obviously it will be on my GPU, as it has to render twice as many frames.

If so, will I be able to use the 60FPS Sonic Colours hack?
I'm not too sure, I will do some performance testing with Twilight Princess and see what settings I can reach without slow down for you.
Thanks Walfo
Just tested... and literally full speed with no drops except for a tiny one in Hyrule Field, but the game speed was unaffected. On top of that I am also using a HD texture pack! The performance is brilliant at 1080 as well as 900P. No drops, 4x Anti-aliasing and 16xAF. Make sure for this game EFB copies are stored to texture only, that brings a HUGE performance increase without causing bugs. But as I've said, some games may not like it, but I've yet to see any issues with store EFB to texture, especially as I've completed the game from start to finish.

My i7 4700MQ CPU is running at 2.4GHZ right now, so it's not exactly really fast, and I have a weaker Graphics card compared to a GTX 960. (765M) which is nothing really compared to the power of a 960. So you could definitely reach your desire graphics settings and even more.

To be honest I think you could even stretch for SSAA.
Thank you, is it possible for you to try Sonic Colours at all, or do you not own it?
I'll get it as soon as possible and try it out.
I run the Sonic Colors 60 fps patch on my i7-4700MQ with no slowdowns
