I have been trying to connect my NEW RVL-CNT-01-TR wii remote to my iMac 2011, but as soon as it connects it drops and will not stay connected.

So I went to try with an older wii remote (No motionplus) but it gives me the same issue.

Does anyone know what the issue might be? I have tried deleting my com.apple.bluetooth.plist file to reset bluetooth but that didn't seem to help. I also tried to delete SmashEnabler.kext to see if it was an issue with that and still nothing.

Anyone know if this is an issue with El Capitan, as I remember hearing they changed a lot of things that broke USB for example. (I also remember having my Wiimote connected to my mac before updating)
Maybe try removing it and starting the pairing process from scratch again?

Tried this multiple times... and as I said I reset bluetooth entirely on my mac.

Tried the same thing with multiple RVL-CNT-01 Wiimotes - original as well as motion plus.

No trouble connecting with BlueTooth.

When I try to connect in the game, I get a Wiimote 1 connected follow by 5 lines of Wiimore 1 disconnected.

This is on a Mac Pro running 10.11.1, Dolphin 4.0-8185

I tried older versions of Dolphin, no change.

Strange, sorry I don't know how to help. My remote randomly started connecting successfully so I am all set to play games again...

Are you using 10.11? Do you have BTLE support?

Found the solution - at least for my system:
- Pair the Wiimote
- Connect
- Launch Dolphin
- Open the the Controller panel
- Press refresh - the controller should buzz and show a single LED
- Now it connects to the games.
What passcode did you use to get this to work collyde?

I was using this with an earlier OS, where I could opt for no passcode.

Instruction on what to do with El Capitan or later are here. You have to find out the BT address and then decode from there:
