Need for speed Hot Pursuit 2 and Most Wanted
Both have unplayable frame rates
Star wars Rouge Squadron 2 and Clone Wars
Nothing happens
Are these games too much for dolphin to handle? Or could future updates possibly make them playable?
Running on a shield TV
If you mean Rogue Leader, it should be working. Are you using a recent dev build? If not, follow the link in my sig.
Your second question is the answer, i guess.

Could we use this thread though, (except if there is already an existing thread, in which case i apologize for being unaware), in order to make a compatibility list for android? I have tested some games, so i 'd be happy to help in that matter.

I believe so, Im using a build from a few days ago, It went straight to black screen for me, Ill try another build to double check.
Im not against making a compatibility list, seems enough games are playable to start one
Certainly enough, yeah. Alright then, i 'll be back tomorrow to post the list of games i have tested.
Here goes:
pokemon xd: gales of darkness(gc) - working fine around 30 fps
prince of persia sands of time(gc) - working, 10 fps or so
shadow the hedgehog(gc) - working almost perfectly
super mario sunshine(gc) - working, 20-30 fps
the legend of zelda twilight princess(gc) - working, around 10 fps, non visible map
the lord pf the rings the return of the king(gc) - working good at 30 fps, there is a problem at cutscenes(the sound flows normally but the scenes are lagging)
the lord of the rings the third age(gc) - only main menu is accessible
arc rise fantasia(wii) - working, around 10 fps
final fantasy crystal bearers(wii) - not working due to nunchuck requirement
My device is samsung galaxy s6 v5.02, dolphin v4.0.8127. I assume the performances could be better at certain devices(like nvidia ones).
p.s. i could test some more games, i hope we will be able to make the compatibility list thread.
Here's my addition to the list:
(This list of mine only includes games which either don't load up on the android at all, or have gamebreaking bugs/glitches on the android - They are all tested on the Dolphin on Windows to make sure the dumps are ok)
Gamecube:
Luigi's Mansion (Loads up and runs at a decent framerate, but Luigi is missing his head and his flashlight, and the game will hang during the tutorial, making the game unplayable - The game does run on build 4.0-7377 and earlier, in which both his head and his flashlight are present, which indicates that build 4.0-7379 broke luigi on android)
Ed, Edd n Eddy - The Mis-Edventures (Doesn't load up at all)
Ternal Darkness - Sanity's Requiem (Doesn't load up at all)
TimeSplitters - Future Perfect (Doesn't load up at all)
Wii:
Bully - Scholarship Edition (Doesn't load up at all)
Donkey Kong Country Returns (Doesn't load up at all)
MarioKart (In-game memory hardware error, unstartable)
Super Mario Galaxy (Doesn't load up at all)
I am running all of this on the Nvidia Shield Android TV 16Gig model
So ive been testing out a few games aswell.
First the ones working well:- Super Mario Sunshine, Zelda Wind Waker, Pikmin 2, Godzilla, Mario Strikers, Backyard Football and ESPN International Winter Sports are all running great.
Games working with issues:- Mario Tennis and Baseball (playable running about 80% speed), Balders Gate and Rocky (playable with overclock set to 0.2),Mario Party 6 and 7 (running pretty well with some slowdowns), Star Fox adventures (playable but fps all over the place)
Games with serious issues:- The Simpsons (hangs on opening screen for a couple of minutes, loads then weird controller issues mean game unplayable. Game runs and controls work with cached interperter but fps very slow) , Gladius (cant get past character selection in dual core mode, game runs with single core but fps mean its unplayable), Wallace and Gromit (game loads but freezes at the start)
Games that wont boot:- Rogue squadron 2 and 3
My setup:- I am using a Shield with dolphin build 4.0.8237, resolution 2.5*native, 2* AA
When I first got Dolphin I couldn't wait to play roque squadron 2 on the big screen in hd. I realise that the Factor 5 games are notoriously hard to emulate and that the android version of Dolphin is not as mature as Windows. Its still pretty frustrating that games with issues that have been resolved on Windows are still suffering on Android. Gladius and the Simpsons are both suffering from similar issues that first came up 3,4 years ago.
Dolpin on android is progressing great and Im still going to be regularly checking the newer builds and hope that it gets fixed.
If anybody has had any luck getting any better results i'd love to hear about it.
Does anyone know if medal of honor frontline works
I guess most of those broken games are because of missing accurency on our aarch64 jit. We are aware of this issues, but it seems like nobody is motivated to continue on this task. Sonicadvance's activity did drop some months ago, and I did only spend my summer holidy on it.
If anyone of you wants to work on it, feel free to ping me on #dolphin-emu @freenode. There are still plenty of open tasks, some performance improvements, but mostly accuracy based...
