The 4330 is a bit slower in emulators, but is faster in pretty much everything else. You never know when you might get into, say, 3D modelling or video editing/making. Keeping the 4330 would leave you with more options.
It's said that you should never consentrate on what you may do, but on what you do, and computers are no exception. I'd say it's far smarter to build a pc with your current use in mind, not something that might or might not be the case in some years. That's why we don't buy 32GB of RAM or a 4TB hard drive just in case we needed it in the future.
But the difference here is that he
already has the 4330. The 4330 is both more than good enough for pretty much all Dolphin games
and gives you more breathing room for different use cases.
I know that he has the i3 already, and I'm not saying that it's a bad CPU at all, but the difference compared to the G3258 is still quite clear. If you take a look here:
http://anandtech.com/bench/CPU/1027 you can see that the G3258 performs better at stock (at least theoretically in a benchmark) than the 4360, which is still a bit faster than the 4330 (which means that they're at stock pretty much even since hyper-threading gives a 10% boost). That said, I know the 4330 is just fine for Dolphin, but an overclocked G3258 would help get in that "premium-tier" to run every single game smoothly.
And furthermore, he could probably sell the 4330 for more than the Pentium costs. It's just a question of preference, G3258 for Dolphin or 4330 for general computing.

You don't need a G3258 when you have a 4330. That's just dumb. Selling the 4330 and buying a 4690k makes 1000x more sense.
that's all right but as I sayed I only use it for Kodi, Dolphin and PCSX2. And I got
a special price under 50,- € so I think it will be worth it....
So, got my G3258 and put on my mainboard AsRock B85M and tried to OC...
But I can't find the setting in UEFI Setup... I've the current firmware 2.40 on it...
any Ideas?
EDIT: the last firmware what has "non-z OC" is 2.10... after that AsRock remove this...
