Hi there,
this is my first time on this forum as I have been downloading dolphin builds for a while now and with the d3d plugin, i finally decided to play ztp again.
i found this thread about the bloom hack (or any hack) giving more speed to the game and while i DID get more speed in most areas, Hyrule is still horrible (about 9 fps). and that is WITH the hack enabled. the tested area is the 3rd twilight area in hyrule (right after crossing the bridge, after the goron temple)
for some reason, the hack isnt working for me. the only thing i can think of is that im using my OLD save file - the one that i used with the opengl plugin about 2 months ago and then left it alone, since the game was just unplayable.
could that be it? should i start a new game with the d3d plugin?
any help would be appreciated guys.
P.S. i hope i did the right thing by not making this a new thread. if i messed something up, im sorry, but this is my first time posting on a forum.

It seems it only works in fullscreen..I usually only play at fullscreen so didn't bother to test it in windowed mode - indeed its a lot slower, altrough still faster then without the hack
Without hack - 6-8 fps
With hack windowed mode - 10-14 fps
Fullscreen FTW
- 25-30 fps
And I even used lower resolution with windowed mode...

hey man, it worked!!
thanks a lot, seriously. i also think that you should mention in the beginning of this post that it REALLY only works on fullscreen, because other people might make the same mistake i did - just see the fps at the windowed mode (to check their fps or whatever) and see the hack not working.
but yeah, works great!! 30 fps everywhere (except the stupid twilight hyrule area - i think twilight slows things down - i get 20 fps in twilight). but yeah, hyrule 30 fps!!
so yeah, thanks again man, now i can actually beat the game (just have to find some maps on the internet since the minimap doesnt work, cause im planning to get everything in the game and the minimap might help with directions).
P.S. to anyone who might wonder, i am using the 4302 build, compiled by unknownforce and here are my system specs:
core 2 duo e8400 3.0 Ghz
eVGA 750i SLI FTW Motherboard
Windows Vista 64 bit
Corsair 750TX
4 GB OCZ HPC Reaper RAM 1066 DDR2
2 x 7200 RPM 160 GB HD in Raid 0
GTX 260 Core 216
P.S.S. i am selling this system, btw, for 800$ if anyone is interested (it's about 2 months old)

It only works with the DX9 plugin, if you are using the OpenGL plugin it isn't going to work. If you are already using the DX9 plugin then your specs are probably too crappy to get decent speeds in most games and is not limited solely to Twilight Princess.

Works for me with both builds, I was switching on and off between the x86 IL and the x64 build just to see if the glitching sound occurred universally with all builds.
