Because caps are fun Tongue
It's really because as Anti-Ultimate pointed out, recommending old builds is against the rules. And because you wouldn't believe how many people have come here where their issues were fixed by using new versions. It doesn't help everyone, but it does help a lot of people.

And yes, you're probably having issues with your iGPU being the bottleneck. Are you on the latest driver from intel? What backend are you using?

I haven't checked the driver version as of late, but last I checked it was the most up-to-date version. (that was 3 months ago... probaly should check again! Big Grin)

The issue I'm having now though is constant shader compilation pauses (i.e. there's a massive pause when new effects come on-screen!) Oh and the backend's DirectX (NEVER recommend OpenGL in this case, it is S-L-O-W!) in case you were wondering. I do get lag using 4 players, but 3's okay, and 2 is... perfect. (Except the constant pausing!!!)

I also went ahead and tested both Dolphin 5.0 RC and 4.0 7997. (I think that's the build number) I didn't see any real difference... :/

EDIT: Ok, I am downloading the "latest" driver package. (Dare I hope intel's done something in the past few months!)

EDIT2: Damn it! looks like I can't update any further... Big Grin
Our OGL backend is more accurate and faster in many cases over D3D. Especially on nvidia hardware.

AMD and Intel users should probably use D3D because their OGL drivers aren't the best.

Don't say you should never recommend a backend, I don't think you understand why it's slow.

That's why i said "in this case" maning my iGPU, of which definitely sucks on dolphin OpenGL. Wink

EDIT: I FINALLY WORKED OUT MY SHADER COMPILE PAUSES!!! Is it because you guys switched to using GLSL/HLSL? I found that CG compiles faster on my machine in any app. :/
