Yeah I already read that. That's why I ask. So, are AMD GPUs easier to understand than NVidia ones? Is there more documentation?
Or, is it possible that the emulator do some kind of HLE like detecting compiled OpenGL instructions (I don't know if that's even possible) and directly translate them for the PC GPU?
just tried out windwaker hd again and it can maintain full speed on outset island for me ~85% time but still goes double time indoors. pretty crazy.

Pretty sure AMD GPUs have better public documentation but if you wanted to work with any modern Nvidia GPU, Nouveau could probably help you.

Considering Nouveau is solely based on reverse engineering and the occasional nVIDIA firmware release, it's probably not.
Also the Xbox GPU was customized out the wazoo
So it's a "bloom" emulator.

What a mess, i don't like that console...

I'm pretty sure WiiU GPU is too.

To my knowing of AMD, it's likely everything they're doing is pretty well documented, and may already have existed on another piece of hardware.

Nouveau is used for RPCS3 so I assume it's useful.
It's ridiculous to me that an i3 6320 @ stock can run a Wii U emulator fairly well. Wind Waker fluctuates between 20 and 28 fps.
