Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

My question is, what will be the best hardware to run either of these emulators? o.o

Anything latest I assume (Skylake). Sooner or later they're bound to put a minimum and recommended requirements. Patience is a virtue.

Haswell up should be fine I think.

I see why things aren't using Vulkan, as it's not in a usable state yet, and previous OpenGL is supposed to be less easy for beginners to get working as it's less tidy. It's possible that they're trying to get a temporary backend working while they wait for Vulkan to be ready.

I don't pay attention for a little while, and apparently the Wii U is now hacked to bits...

Yup. Thats how it always goes. XD I stoped paying attention to Citra and ot went from buggy oot gameplay to about 100% playable without sound. 2 years from now, we may just jave a whole new library of games to play with. It's exciting. <3

Since the suspected leaks of Nintendo's next new console secretly dubbed "Nintendo NX," and judging from the timeline of released consoles, I don't see why it wouldn't be the proper time for it.

I got a conspiracy theory. Perhaps Nintendo said "Well, since we are killing the wii, lets give them what they need to emulate in secret so that the wiiu won't become a forgotten relic".
Pretty much fanfic, but i'll roll with it to make myself feel better.

Wow this quick?! It can already boot and run (albeit slowly w/ glitchy graphics) commercial games? Color me impressed, that's amazing.
