I've noticed a dramatic decline in graphics quality in the OpenGL plugin in the latest 4xxx - 4286 revisions compared to slightly older revisions such as 3972.

In the latest revisions you have to enable the Zelda Bloom hack to see graphics in Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3, where this was was not needed in older revisions such as 3972. Also in the latest revisions attack effects are not visible in DBZBT3, Goku's Kamehameha and Spirit Bomb attack effects are invisible where these effects were working fine in revision 3972.

I've also tested Luigi's Mansion using revisions 4286 and 3972 side by side and here are the results, I used the x64 build of Dolphin with the same exact settings for testing.

Revision 3972:

Revision 4286:

The OpenGL plugin also is quite a bit slower with some games in the latest revisions, notice the drastic difference in FPS in the screenshots for the 3972 and 4286 revisions.

I'm not trying to complain, just reporting an issue or problem I believe may of been overlooked or not reported yet. Smile

*Since I am unable to attach another picture to this post, I have posted the last picture for revision 4286 below*

OpenGL plugin settings: 1024 x 768 resolution (Windowed), 4:3 Aspect Ratio, AA Disabled, 16x AF, Auto-Scale, Vsync Disabled, Copy EFB to System Ram.
[GC] Sonic Riders now have BIG slowdowns!!!! (With DX9 and OpenGL)

And Turn on the antialias, that may fix the problem
Revision 4286 (Continued):

Notice that my FPS ingame in the same spot is 18 FPS on revision 4286, while it is 30 FPS (Full speed) on revision 3972?

Also when I'm ingame with DBZBT3, everything looks like this with the DX9 plugin now:

The problem with DBZBT3 and the DX9 plugin is fairly recent, started happening in the last 10 revisions or so.

You turn on the antialias in DX9/OpenGL?

P.S: looks very bad
As I mentioned both revisions were tested side by side using the same settings, nothing is different except for the revision number and the apparent decrease in quality, graphics, and effects present in the latest revisions. I can post more examples if needed to make myself a bit clearer.

Also turning on AA in the OpenGL plugin won't fix the poor graphics in the latest revisions, so some commit caused a problem somewhere with the OpenGL plugin.
it could be the move of stuff to video common.
Could that of also affected the attack effects in DBZBT3, such as Goku's Kamehameha or Spirit Bomb if that is indeed the problem? As I mentioned no graphics are visible in DBZBT3 unless the Zelda Bloom Hack or another hack is selected, this wasn't needed in the past since the game functioned without any projection hacks.

It's kind of funny with the attack effects being invisible though, since you are unable to see what is being shot at you so you can dodge it. Tongue

I'm sorry that I am unable to provide more information or exactly what revision(s) are the culprit. It could be any of the last 100 revisions and I neither have the time or bandwidth to download and test every one of them.
do you know what revision caused this? narrow it down more will help us to fix it or explain why.
the only changed that has been made to the open gl plugin in a while was the reduce API calls it could be that i think it was in R4245 someone compile before that and check
are you sure your settings are the same?
