Well there's no use of arguing nobody see's my point anyways. Wish people will be a little more constructive. Nobody really see's the issue at hand here. And am quite surprised am the first to report the issue with Direct3D. Has anybody not reported this issue before or what? Are other users not having this problem or what? Like I said am basically to busy with college to bisect this issue and find it and report it.   Undecided

I represent the Dolphin User Experience Improvement Initiative and we take your complaints very seriously. Just for you, I have compiled a comprehensive guide on how to fix your first issue:

1. Start Dolphin.
2. Go to the graphics configuration dialog and select the OpenGL backend.
3. That's it! You're done!

As for your second issue, I'm sorry to inform you that this is happening by design. We had a long and hard discussion about this and after much consideration we decided to take the color blue to the next level.

Have a wonderful day!

[Image: dodgy.gif]Well you know that doesn't really fix the issue now does it? "No its just easy way around it" .You know I wouldn't be here if I only cared about playing with OpenGL. No but am here to help the Dolphin community by reporting a issue, that others might facing be facing, but are to scared to report it, and or have not chosen to report it yet.[Image: undecided.gif]

No, I haven't heard anything about it before.
Hello am also having the same problem Sad

I am using the latest build 4.0-7952. Am playing windwaker with Hypatia's texture pack found here: http://onthegreatsea.tumblr.com/DOWNLOADS Am also suspecting LumbeeSlayer is also using the same pack!

Am getting around 15 fps just like LumbeeSlayer with Direct 3D at 4x resolution, with the texture pack enabled. If I disable the texture pack at that res, game runs full speed. I also can play at 8x resolution with the texture pack disabled which is weird with no fps drop at all. But when I enable the pack, game runs slow at any res higher then 3x.

But you see if I play with OpenGL I can definitely play with the texture pack on even at 8x resolution with no fps drops! OpenGL runs perfect at any res with the texture pack enabled. But with Direct3D its slow unless I disable the texture pack at anything higher then 3x resolution. Direct3D is the issue, the way it is handling texture packs at any res higher then 3x. It has to be. How come I can play at 8x with the texture pack on with no fps drops with OpenGL. But when I try the same thing with Direct3D, extreme fps drop, 5 to be exact. Point blank, playing at any res higher then 3x with the texture pack enabled resorts in extreme fps drop with Direct 3D. OpenGL doesn't have this issue what so ever.

Please bisect which version introduced the issue.
When someone bisects the issue they can make a new thread. This is one of the most annoying pieces of dialogue I've ever read.
