i'm having an issue with choppy sound and a weak FPS (only 14 @ 23%) when loading the twin snakes. I'm assuming it may be that my laptop simply can't handle running the game, but any advice/tips/ideas to perhaps get this thing going would be greatly appreciated!
If it is the computer on your profile it is way too slow.
A laptop that run Dolphin well will cost like $1000
There is nothing you can do with that netbook

The Lenovo Miix 700 might change that.
Change what ? The gaming laptop I'm talking about has Core i7 4xxxMQ @ 3.3->3.5GHz + GTX 950 or GTX 960.
The Lenovo Miix 700 is a joke . It has only integrated GPU mean you have to run game at minimum settings . Also the Core M ultra low voltage processor is weak . Base on notebookcheck 's benchmark , the fastest Core M7 6Y75 (skylake) is not even on par with i5 4200U .I have i5 4300M @ 3.2GHz which is much faster than that ulv i5 4200U but it's still not fast enough for demanding games . The cheapest version of Lenovo Mixx ($700) has Core M5-6Y54 which is too slow for most games (the i3 5005U @ 2.0GHz still beats it)
I rather buy a another Wii than paying that much for a tablet that is not made for gaming

Btw , I tested Celeron N2807 @ 2.2GHz tablet on NSMB which is light-weight game . I only have less than half speed in game (20->35FPS) though i'm using lowest res . I'm sure no GPU bottleneck at 1x IR since N2807 has low clock Ivy Bridge GPU which is on par with Intel HD 3000
So if you want to run light-weight games full speed , you will need a processor that is 3 times as fast as mine . The Core M isn't even as twice as fast as mine ....

Lenovo also has throttle issues with their tablet . They probably underclock the Core M to reduce temp . Well , the Core M's TDP is twice as much as silvermont Celeron N2807

Well considering how we were talking about Dolphin on a laptop the first part didn't matter to me at all. Plus did you really bring up CPUboss? That's the worst site in existence. Plus none of what you're talking about even applies to the processor. That's not even the processor in the Lenovo Miix 700.

Uhhhh, no? With a TDP of 4.5W, that thing will throttle itself to 1.4 Ghz even when just opening Dolphin.

Do you actually know this? Or are you just guessing? Because I swear there have been no products released with this CPU.

The 5y71 is just 1 generation behind 6y54 . Skylake is only 5% faster than Broadwell
ULV Cpu is weak for Dolphin , Core M is even worse than that
Or are you telling me a 4.5W CPU could be as good as 35W i5 4300M ?

"Weak for Dolphin" See could you please tell me what that means? Because unless this man owns every GC game in existence I'm pretty sure a multitude of games won't matter.
