Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

Hi, I used Dolphin since the first days of January, I had no problems with it, I played SSBM, Mario Sunshine and other games, now I reinstalled everything (I use to format the PC and reinstall everything almost every 6-7 months) and re-downloaded Dolphin, When I try to open a .gcm game (wich is a normal GC ROM extension) or even a .iso of a Wii game I get some errors, it says something like that:

Quote:Can't init any PAD Plugins

Quote:Couldn't init the core. Check your configuration.

What is that?! It worked always fine!!!! I always update my DirectX, I have the DirectX 9.0c (the 10/11 are for Vista).


My PC specs are:

1. Microsoft Windows XP with SP3
2. AMD Athlon 6000+ x2 Dual Core
3. ATI Radeon HD 4350 Sapphire (before yesterday was an nVidia GeForce 8600GT, this is the first time I use a non-nVidia graphic card )
4. I tried with every Dolphin versions but nothing!!!!

I searched the entire web!!!! But I cannot find anything, I readed also the sticky threads but they tell nothing about those Plugins problems!!!!

Someone maybe can give me a good "Plugin_PadSimple.dll" ?!

I want to play GC games so badly, my GC died 3 years ago, I want to play my games and I don't have a Wii (for now) so please, help me T_T

If I go to Options/Pad Settings I get

and Dolphin crashes.

I even checked the Plugins folder and there are everything but if in Dolphin I go to Options -> Configure -> Plugins there is NOTHING in PAD and in Wiimote !!!! NOTHING, I even clicked their "arrows" but there aren't anything!!!!

It still needs to upgrade to latest version of DirectX, also, latest version of DirectX is August 2009 now, so go and get it

I searched the DirectX 9 on Microsoft website but I only find DirectX 9.0c Redistributable dated August 2008

Can you tell me how is this new pack called? I mean like.. "DirectX Redistributable" or "DirectX End-User Runtime 9" dunno, how is it called?


EDIT: Found them, now are downloading, I tell you if now works....

How much Ram do you have?

and try to run the ISO again ( If it doesn't respond at the third time then... idk )

My PC have 4 GB of RAM, my new graphic card have 1 GB of RAM and is even PCI

Try running game from the list (use "Browse" button to set up a directory)

That's the way I run the games, but it says that thing in both ways, opening a rom from "Open" and both double clickin' it from the list

Then in the FOLDERS (because I tried with all the dolphin releases on the homepage of that website) appears a txt (a log file maybe), where it is written:

Hmm, which version of Catalyst do you use?

The latest one, I updated all yesterday ^^

I readed around on google that someone had this problem with Kaspersky.... and man.... I have Kaspersky O_O

But if I uninstall Kaspersky what antivirus do I put? :O

You don't have to unistal Kaspersky , only close it

And some ATI cards have problems with dolphin if you use the lastest version of Catalyst
