Hello everybody,

i hesitate between 2 models of Macbook to use Dolphin (windows version) via bootcamp: 2 models of 2015 the MBA 11 inches i7 (2.2 ghz) ant the MBP 13 inches i5 (2.7 ghz).

My preference goes to the MBA because of the portability, lightness,etc..

In emulation is there a big gap between the two models? (because of the processor, overheating problems etc..)

Many thanks for your help
They're probably both going to overheat horribly and struggle with anything but the lightest games. At the minimum, you're going to need something with actual fans in it.
At this point?
i thought at the lower settings it would be acceptable
Well , there are many Mac users here . Most of them tell me MBA overheats when running Dolphin . MBP is on the same boat as well . MBPR is not thought (80->85 degree celsius)

That's good to know.thank you
Do you think that the more powerful I7 with higher frequency on the MBA could help not to overheat (because if the processor turns naturally faster ,perhaps there is less overclocking?)
Maybe my hypothesis is bullshit , i'm'not a specialist Smile
No it won't.

Thanks.
So i should go for the MPR retina with the i5 2.9ghz and cross the fingers for a decent speed in Dolphin.
Are you set on a MacBook or need it for something specific?
I have already an asus ROG (but too heavy to take all the days in my backpack)
I like the principe of dualboot (MAC OS and windows only for emulators).
There is not a lot of alternatives for light laptops'in this format...i look at the alienware 13 but the price is expensive for the processor used
What about Razer Blade 14
