Hi there.
I've been using 4.0 for the longest time of any version. It's great, and I've not encountered any issues with using a mouse pointer as a Wiimote. Though as of newer revisions, such as the 5.0 rc 19 I'm trying to get working, I've encountered a problem. As I prefer to play in windowed mode, when I move the mouse outside the window, it flickers around like crazy trying to center itself. In 4.0, the pointer just leaves the window normally, and is obviously preferable. The settings are the same on both version of Dolphin, so I'm not quite sure what's going on. I'm open to suggestions on this.
This is normal afaik, nothing you can do about it.

Rather odd, seeing that it wasn't an issue in 4.0.
Yes, they changed how it works since then, I'm not sure why, but I'm sure there was a reason.
I think this is a side effect of a small rewrite that was supposed to fix something else. At least I can't remember anyone saying that this behavior is more desirable than the old one...
Maybe that was it, I know something was changed and had this side effect.

So we can assume it's merely a glitch?
I see that as a regression, as I reported in issue 8673. Basically, since 4.0-5942 the emulated IR will try to center in relation to the window your mouse cursor is hovering. The problem is that while it works well in full screen and actually improved compatibility with multiple monitors setups, it'll try to center in relation to everything, not just windows (buttons, bars, etc) making emulated IR completely useless in windowed mode...

EDIT: just realized that this new "behaviour" is included in stable branch, keep prepared to a lot of users complaining when Dolphin 5.0 launches. Since the change is very small, maybe we could revert it, at least in stable branch?

That would reintroduce the old issues.

Ordinarily, this is solved by playing in fullscreen. But there are games, such as Animal Crossing City Folk, that have the context menu up so long as the cursor is on the screen, which would be all the time in fullscreen.
