If your Wiimote is detected as RVL-CNT-01 then it's a non-TR one. If it registers as RVL-CNT-01
-TR then it's a -TR one that only works in Windows if you use Toshiba BT stack or MayFlash Dolphin Bar. Anyway, Toshiba BT stack also works with non-TR Wiimotes and may actually improve your experience. There's more details in
this guide...

Thanks, i'll check that guide out, and it came up as "RVL-CNT-01" so it's definitely not a -TR one. Goodey gum drops!

Howdy again, need help. Ok, so... i looked at that link and googled "MS Bluetooth Stacks" and it came up with this link which i then opened and downloaded what was there...
http://www.microsoft.com/en-au/download/details.aspx?id=34584
It downloaded an .exe file which i clicked on and it turned out to be a winzip thingey and asked me if i wanted to unzip whatever was in it to a certain location (which i can't find now, this is the path though - C:\Users\New\AppData\Local\Temp) As soon as i double click on the C drive i can't even see a "Users" folder and before you might ask - yes i've tried searching for any of those folders but nothing.
Anyway to get to the point... now what do i do?
MS Bluetooth stack isn't something you download from the internet, it's a core component in Windows. So, if you're trying to use MS BT stack I would suggest you trying to completely uninstall the softwares that came with your BT dongle and then, through Device Manager, install only the drivers. If you're lucky you should be able to install only the driver and use MS BT stack instead of the proprietary one that came with your adapter...

HALLELUJAH I HAVE BEEN SAVED BY THE LORD!!!!! Thanks so much man!!

I did exactly what you said and now it works great! So convenient not having to have two different versions of Dolphin anymore because of my piss poor old PC lol. Strangely though what you told me i had already tried, a couple times before, but only now it worked... oh well

Hey just one final thing before i stop annoying the shite outta ya... just so i know for future releases of Dolphin - how do i copy just the save files from my current Dolphin folder to the new one so only the saves are passed over, nothing else?
Assuming you're in portable mode, copy folders "User\GC" and "User\Wii"...

Lol! Praise the all mighty lord! Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't the save files carry over automatically between versions assuming your not using anything older than 4.0.2 stable?

Yep. Unless portable mode has been enabled by creating the portable.txt file, everything will carry over without having to do anything.

You are both correct. Yes i have a .txt file in my Dolphin folder named "portable" I prefer it that way because back when i had multiple versions of Dolphin it was f@#king annoying how they would interact with each other and cause changes in the settings for example that i didn't want. Well spotted. Both your Jedi trainings are coming along well

Hey dude, been awhile, hope all is good

Look i need to annoy you again - sorry i mean need your help again. I recently completely formatted my old piss-poor PC because it had too many viruses on it from watching too much Oprah Winfrey porn. Anyhoo... i'm mostly still an idiot when it comes to PC's but i do have a few braincells in me noggin and so ofcourse i backed-up all my stuff i wanted to keep first (Including the folder with that portable version of Dolphin... which being "portable" means it's self-contained right? Like you can simply copy that folder from one PC to another and it should work?) but now i have a new problem i'm hoping you can help me with.
At first i just tried downloading the newer versions of Dolphin but every f**king time i went to run them it just kept saying "This .dll file is missing" and "That .dll file is missing" over and over again, so i just gave up on that idea. I would really like to simply use that folder i backed-up as it has all my save files and unlike what i just described it does actually load... BUT... then the screen just goes white and then finally an error message comes up. I don't understand - everything about my PC is now exactly the same as it was before (minus the viruses) but i will admit i changed from Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit to Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit... however the guy who did that told me it shouldn't make any difference as far as gaming goes.
I'll include my current system specs and screenshots of what happens now when i try to load the very same "portable" Dolphin folder i mentioned right here on this very thread. If you (or anyone else) can help me out i'll make sure you go to heaven when you die and not hell

Cheers.
