Ganon, none of those things sound 5.0 specific. Please post those questions outside of this thread for general support.

You shouldn't need to try any other version (though the latest development build is usually a good bet if you want to try something different). Please post about your problem in a new topic instead of in here.
ok posting a new thread in the support section
Honestly the biggest problem with 4.0 is that it's really badly optimized. I mean when u need a pc with an intel core i7 and a titan graphic card to play gamecube games you know something is wrong. My cousin cant play wind waker fine, no matter what settings he uses, with a intel core i5 and an nvidia geforce for christ's sake
Your cousin should be using the latest development build or a 5.0 release candidate build if not already. Wind Waker should run well with an i5.

If you would like to write a more efficient GC emulator, you're free to do so. The fact that you can emulate hardware as complex as what's in a GC at all on modern CPUs is a testament to many years' worth of hard work on the part of Dolphin's developers. You can't expect the requirements for emulating a GC/Wii to be the same as those for emulating an NES, and it's quite disrespectful for somebody who doesn't understand the demands of emulation at all to decide that Dolphin isn't efficient enough.

Well, there have been very few issue reports, so things are either going reeeeally well, or few people are testing the release candidates. Has anyone been testing it?
Of course not. Because using 5.0 means not using 4.0.2 which everybody and their dog seems to want to use despite us going through a significant effort to hide that version.

I am still testing the Release Candidates as they come out. No problems so far. Everything runs perfectly.
