However, newer dolphin has the texture hash naming different. You will need to convert the texture pack names to fix this, theres an ini option to do this somewhere... I dont recall where. Or someone can just upload a converted set. I have converted the insane slug one if you really need me to upload it in this format for you, please message me, I check here infrequently.
Thanks. I will give it a go at converting it. I recall that conversion option and I think it's documented in a sticky in the custom texture forum. If I fail I'll take you up on your offer.
I just started using the insane slug texture pack a couple days ago for the Wii version. Having an issue with the game briefly freezing when entering a different area, opening the door to go to another room and also occasionally when changing to a different angle. This only happens with custom texture loading on (game runs great with them off). Another issue is far away textures kind of shimmering when Link is moving. Can anyone post what settings they're using in Dolphin? It would be much appreciated.

textures need to be preconverted. You should also preload all textures to ram to prevent the stutter you see.
The shimmering is caused by the lack of mipmaps and because they are high resolution textures. The only thing you can do about that is increase the internal resolution.
About the stuttering, I don't get it anymore after using the Ishiiruka builds with async shader compilation and the textures are stored in my SSD. I don't even preload them (I can't, 8GB of RAM :p).
[Thanks for your replies. I tried an older Ishiiruka build a while back that I had issues with. The latest Ishiiruka build seems to work much better and significantly lessens the amount of stutter.
