We should be able to create a new "Widescreen hack" category on the wiki, which lists all games that have available widescreen patches.

Both of us can move everything over to Dolphin Wiki.

Right now, there's too many forum threads, posts and topics where GameCube widescreen hacks are, so I'm trying to make it as easy as two places to go:

- Dolphin Wiki for the widescreen codes (and a subsequent category to list all games with codes)
- My recently created Widescreen Development Topic for development of widescreen codes and widescreen requests

Well here is the thing, at the very start i actually edited the wiki with the codes. I only did Wind Waker and Twillight Princess but the codes got removed. If you and me update the wiki and are done with it we can move over to your thread for future creation of these codes.

When were they removed and by who?

If users suddenly delete widescreen codes, that's technically wiki VANDALISM, and you have the right to revert or or talk to them on their user discussion.

Widescreen codes are allowed on the wiki. So are 60hz codes since it falls under "make titles run at higher frame rates".

Format wise tho, they MUST be under an "Enhancements" section which is under Problems and above Configuration.

They probably weren't saved properly as i just checked the history which dosen't show anybody removing them.

Anyway, do you want to add the codes to each game separately or plan to make a new page which contains all codes?
Actually, we could convert this topic into a "List of games with widescreen patches on Dolphin Wiki" article for now instead of creating categories on Dolphin Wiki.

There are instances where a widescreen hack is available in PAL but not NTSC-U, so you should categorize them by region accordingly.

In other words, the "new page which contains all codes" will be THIS topic, and yes, all widescreen codes should be on the Dolphin Wiki on each individual game article.

The games are already categorized regionally and alphabetically. So we only will have to add the codes to each game individually. On the master-list: Can you give me the link for the Dolphin Wiki page?

Edit: I edited the 2 Zelda game wikis again and the Codes for Twillight Princess were removed again. Under view history it says they were removed before and infos about the reason are in the "talk page". Could you navigate me to the talk page?

Check the 2 Revision history here1 here2
It looks like 21:9 codes are not allowed?
Actually, since I'm the one who's the original poster of the Widescreen Development Topic and I'm the one who wants to do this, you can leave all the copying to me and I can make the Widescreen Development Topic the master list.

It may take a week or so tho, so I have to ask you to refrain not doing anything new in the meantime.

Is everything in the original first post here up-to-date?

Yes, the OP is up-to-date. But check the edit of my last post.

Edit 1: As i read https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Talk:The_Legend_of_Zelda:_Twilight_Princess_(GC) i remember why i created this thread instead of adding them to the wiki.

Edit 2: So unless the rules of the wiki are changed to allow 21:9 codes i will keep this thread up-to-date when ever new codes are made. We can talk about creating codes in your thread tho.
I just did one game, 1080° Avalanche for NTSC-U in the Widescreen Development Topic. It'll take a while for me to do them all.

And Dolphin Wiki just doesn't like deletterbox codes. ARE there any deletterbox codes here?
Hi there,

Just a reminder that the wiki admins (MaJoR, Jhonn, Kolano) set the rules and decide on the content that's OK for the wiki. They get to make the call about whether the AR codes you're suggesting to add are a good fit for our wiki or not. So while you're free to argue about these rules, please listen to their side of the conversation and respect whatever they choose. My experience is that they are reasonable people who have good reasons backing their decisions.

Consider this a warning -- I'd prefer if your disagreement regarding wiki policies didn't have to escalate further.

Thanks!
