Thank you so much!!! You are the BEST!!!
finally someone replied to my request although I do not need it anymore cuz just bought an extra 2gig kingston mem. yesterday but thanks anyway ill download it now
Thanks a lot for the patched version, it works good...
However, when I use the
iZ3D driver (for DirectX) to try to play games in 3D it gives a similar error/warning "
no free memory chunk :o(".
Is this fixable/patchable? It seems like some people got the driver to work with it not too long ago -

P.S. I know there's a stereoscopic shader by omegadox for OpenGL, but it doesn't actually do any depth, just adds colors so far, and isn't activly being worked on (to my knowledge).
Thank you,
Isaac

That would be an issue with the driver not being able to allocate enough RAM. AFAIK, Dolphin doesn't put a ":o(" in any of their error messages.
Fix: Buy more RAM. Dolphin probably uses up too much RAM for this specialized driver to be able to operate, from the 2-3 seconds I spent reading up on it, I would guess it needs a lot of software memory to operate.
TL;DR, not our problem.

Thank-you for reply, but it is a dolphin error message, here's easy proof:
If you open up Dolphin.exe with
notepad++ and do a search for "
no free memory chunk :o" it does indeed find it...also if you run
process Explorer and use
it's find process by dragging cross-hair over application feature on the error message, it points to dolphin.
Also, I have 4GB of ram, ~3GB free before running dolphin, and I'm only running a
little home-brew game right now (I'm awaiting my LG drive

) so it shouldn't require massive amounts of ram.
iZ3D drivers double CPU & maybe GPU usage in general, but use very little ram.

Think I should open a new thread somewhere?
Unless i am not understanding correctly, process explorer (WinXP) is only showing about 300MB + being used by dolphin with the patch applied (I have 2gb ram, so thats quite a bit left over. So i'm not sure i understand why the non-patched official or otherwise are having problems grabbing memory? Before i run dolphin , with nothing running, i'm using about 325mb's in explorer. (WinXP SP3 32bit) (Of course 64 bit OS would help, but i'm not there yet untill i fill my sistem with 8gb soon)
I would love to know how to apply this patch to any version ?, like 4431 or something. Is that possible ?..
Its really starting to get to me that i can't patch it myself ^_- and i have to search for versions with patches. Of course grateful to those uploading the patched versions

+ patch itself.
@OptimusPrimeX:
Patches get applied to the source code, which then gets compiled. Learn to build the source yourself, and you can have any build you want!
@Isaactoo:
Start a new thread, see where it takes you. Remember, this thread started as someone having issues with a specific error, and ended with patched revisions being posted that correct the error. Maybe you'll get lucky too!

@OptimusPrimeX:
I do not understand it either, although I do have kapersky, it even happens when I have it disabled...and pretty much everything else even. But this patch fixes it wonderfully...I just get this different error when I try to run iZ3D's driver (it injects a dll). I'm running XP SP3 32bit also.
@dstruct2k:
Thank you, will do!
The patch is useless unless u explain how and where to use it i mean come on people ask how do i use it please tell us how
It's just download the source code and apply the patch ( right click Tortoise SVN < Apply patch... OR reading the patch with WORDPAD and apply it line-per-line )
