Whenever I increase the clock with this it makes games go slower. And i do not understand why.

Simplified: If you incease the clockspeed of the emulated CPU, your physical CPU has to to emulate more clockcycles in the same amount of time. If your CPU already has too much work to do, increasing the emulated clockspeed makes things worse.
