Nope... am almost at lakebed temple now. Still going strong.

You are either lying or "going strong" for you is 10-15 fps
Not even newest core i7 systems can ran zelda tw faster then 15 fps in hyrule field after fire temple.
What fps exactly do you get ?

I get 20-25 FPS in Hyrule right now after the Goron Temple, and I have a Quad Core

Is that even possible?

That's the lowest I ever got (20 fps aprox) in Hyrule for now.
I've been told it gets even slower after you unlock more Hyrule areas. (I was at the Zora zona after unfreezing them. Had to warp to Hyrule to take this screenshot)

Using the D3D plugin. Latest Rev
The resolution is the max it can be in Windowed mode even if the Window is that small. No AA. 16x AF
Ok,I didnt try bloom hack before reading this thread. It gave me about 400% speed improvment. Now I get constant 30 fps where I got like 7-8 before
Altrough bloom hack screw up some part of the game, and we will never see the map with it on even when proper efb is implemented in directx
But I think this might give some clue to devs as to how to speed up the game even without this hack ?

I got the similar type of slowdown your getting but it's now flat out on my machine, all the way. Excellent gfx as well. Only complaint is that the audio sometimes glitches and cuts out. During hyrule field and goat herding.

First of I'm using Orleans build 4269 x64. I'm using the dx9 plugin.
My rig is..
Windows 7 x64
A phenom II x4 b50 @ 3.5ghz
4 gig unganged dual channel ddr2 800 running 4-4-4-15
9800gtx+ oc'd
Think thats all that should be relevant to playing this....

What fixed it for me was to right click the game in my list in dolphin and click on properties then set as follows...

Now I've been playing it like that for hours now. I've been out round hyrule field etc and am back in twilight again.
It's been flat out all the way. Looks amazing as well running at a 1440x900 resolution with aa and af. Smile

I don't know if those settings or that build will play the game completely through without fatal issue... but I'm going to find out. Big Grin

I have to say it. I just have to.

HOLY MOTHER OF FREAKING GAWD.

What a freak bug/fix/whatever you can call that. Right from 8fps to 30 steady fps.

Wow Huh.
OMGGG THANK YOU DIGIDEATH!!!!

It has been a really long while since I was looking everyday on the main dolphin site to get new revs that'll let me play kinda ''perfectly'' on TP but when I saw your thread I wasn't really convinced about all that but GUESS WHAT it actually really works guys!! everyone should do that I was getting 50% on ordon now i get 100% full time on ordon without even a single slowdown!! Thank you so much man I really appreciated that one and for the dolphin team, KEEP UP THE AWESOME JOBS cause there is a lot of people like me who check everyday for new great revs and a chance to play great games like TP!! Thank you very much ^^ Smile

My Spec :

Intel Core2Duo E7400 2.8Ghz
GeForce 8600GTS
2 Gb DDR2
Windows Xp Pro 32 Bits SP2

Thank you again! Big Grin
WOW!!! this is serious
i use to get 8fps for this game. now i'm getting 26-30fps.
this is with d3d plugin of course. with ogl i get 17fps still.

my specs
e6300 @ 2.2ghz
hd3650
4g ram
win7 x64
I've been testing digideath's settings on the following system...

Core i7 920 stock speed
6 GB DDR3-1600 ram
1x HD 4870 stock speed
Windows 7 64-bit RC
Dolphin R4302

I own both versions of TP so I was able to test both...

Using his settings on the Wii version of Twilight Princess, with the D3D plugin, performance is now comparable to the OpenGL plugin, though it kills bloom lighting and slows down at all the usual places. (Half speed in Ordon, lower in Hyrule Field.)

But on the cube version, bloom lighting appears to remain intact with the hack on, and I'm getting a full 30 fps EVERYWHERE. I've yet to see any slowdown, though there are still sound glitches as mentioned before. Smile

Great find, though, thanks for sharing. Big Grin
That configuration might give you some problems, like a crash when you mix arrows and bombs, the Bloom hack is the only option you need to activate for ZTLP reach full speed Smile
Can anyone link me to the D3D plugin please? I need to get more FPS.
PS: I'm a noob, really. Sad
