It works for me, and even faster than XP.
Are you on an Intel Chipset btw>?

My only issue with vista is compatibility. Fix that, and it would be a splendid OS

Wouldn't a simple windows update fix that. Rolleyes

Well if it didnt come yet then i dont think it will plus it wouldnt be that simple ud have to rewrite the os
Compatibility with... COM ports and 16-bit apps? 'Cause that's the only thing I've ever had trouble with, and they're dead technologies anyway. Vista's compatibility issues were addressed when hardware vendors started releasing drivers that adhered to the new driver model introduced with Vista.

Disabling UAC solves most "minor" incompatibilities, as does "Run as administrator". Windows developers are just gonna have to learn to write apps around that, much as Linux devs have been doing for 20 years. Smile

not really
cmd still needs run as admin to do alot of stuff cause...GUESS WHAT!
there isn't an admin on vista except the hidden administrator (see safe mode) :o
hmm i tried those things, i never keep UAC on and i run as admin but to no avail...

who's the genius that came up with that?
Daco, with UAC turned OFF, cmd always runs with full admin rights.

haha
no

not on any vista machine i had my hands on so far
that or "full" is not what we think it means (sure was refusing to run alot of low level command prompt commands like debug)

Code:
C:\Users\dstruct2k>debug
'debug' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

"debug" is supposed to be a command? In what operating system?
(Sorry to go off topic, but I'm really wondering what you mean,[/code] Daco.)
