I think (with an emphasis on I think) that you cannot use a gamepad with the wii games. It HAS to be a wiimote. =/ Not sure, but everytime I ask people just ask me, "Why would you want to use a xbox 360 controller on wii games?"

I bought this controller since it's cheaper than the official nintendo controller, in about a month I should have it and can report on how well it works (it's being delivered from china).

Sadly I think you're right. I have a cheap-o regular USB gamepad that I'm also unable to bind keys.

I've continued screwing around with Xpadder and got it to work better. I mapped my mouse, default Wiimote, to my right analog stick. I messed around with the sensitivity settings in Xpadder and it works great for games like Super Mario Galaxy.

However, I haven't found a way to do those motion sensing twists that are practically required for some games like that Sonic one.
