bobbydazzler1985: You're still free to use the old builds, or to fix the issue. git revert is easy compared with the memory issues on ARMv7
I have been using old builds.and thats got me so far. Even the z3...out only a few months ago uses armv7 the fact is that the majority of android users are going to be penelised by this.  App developers listen to opinions....obviously not this one
Oh, let me correct myself: Your're free to continue using this builds! There aren't many ways to optimize them further, so if we hadn't dropped ARMv7 doesn't mean it's improving any more at all.
I suppose progress requires harsh upgrades to move forward. That and we only have one maintainer and two JIT's is far too much work.  Personally, I'm sad to see it go,  as my shield tablet was once the fastest device to run it.  But it can't last forever.  It was never going to get much better.

By the time mobile CPUs are fast enough to run Dolphin, ARMv8 and AArch64 will be standard and ARMv7 devices won't even exist anymore! That and ARMv7 was never going to support all of Dolphin's JIT tricks, like fastmem, so it was permanently handicapped.

A full explanation will be in the upcoming Progress Report.

I understand completely. I suppose this ends SHIELD tablet support, at least until Gamestream integrates with Shield TV. Do you think a driver update could cause a K1 fork down the road, or is this purely hardware related?

I have an Nvidia Shield Tablet with K1 and getting the same error.

You need both, a 64 bit CPU and 64 bit Android. The latter is usually missing. Please check the list of supported ABIs of your device, eg within AIDA64. I bet it is lacking arm64-v8a.

Your device does not meet the requirements for running Dolphin.

Also, please don't bump threads that are this old.
