I've been having multiple issues with Dolphin, but first things first.

Every time I want to close a game using ESC, Dolphin crashes. It brings up the 'do you want to quit' screen, I click ok. And then the entire emulator freezes. I have to bring up Task manager to force it to close.
I'm using the latest dev build: 4.0-6484

I am using the same revision and had a similar error.
I got this fixed by selecting 'Borderless fullscreen' under the graphic settings (-> 'hacks' I think).

B-but....exclusive is supposed to be better.
Well...maybe 'fixed' is the wrong description for my post..
Its more like a workaround...I really hope that this is fixed on later revisions too.
However, its better than not playing in full screen Wink

Edit:
See this issue Wink

I'm having the same issue. I have to task manager out of the emulator now. Also using the most recent build
Okay, even though this is not a solution, but probably a better workaround then using borderless fullscreen (due to input lag etc.)

Currently i am just 'Alt+return'-ing to windowed mode and press escape afterwards...
This way the emulation will stop normalny .
- I don't have to use the taskmanager
- I don't have to start dolphin over again
- Its faster then having to do the above steps...

Hopefully this issue will be fixed soon.
this is a known issue. there is no reliable fix atm
Using a version from before the bug was introduced is a 100% reliable fix, assuming you don't need any of the features that were introduced since then. Tongue

That's if you can even pinpont the exact moment these application breaking bugs sprang into existence. This is a multi hundred revision problem. You'll end up losing more features just trying to avoid using the broken builds.

Its a pretty big issue when you can't even play a game (the whole point of the program) and when you do manage to get a game to work and quit out of it, more crashes occur. I just got Action! installed on my pc too... :/

not really. having to open task manager to close dolphin is 100% negligible.
