ANyone tried dolphin yet on this?? the specs are very impressive and i love how nvidia keeps pushing android gaming to its limits more and more each year.  but the dolphin gamecube running on android has been sketchy i've heard.  wanted to know the progress on the nvidia shield 2015 and anyone else can chime in here on development for it.

I saw that you had commented elsewhere (I think it was in the Anandtech review comments, if I recall correctly). Dying to know how it is running on the X1, if you have any feedback to give at the moment?
I've got my NVIDIA Shield Android TV coming on Wednesday and I plan on doing tons of emulator tests with it (especially Dolphin overclocking and PPSSPP). I do HD videos of emulator gameplay on YouTube--for anyone that wants to follow along once my Shield gets here, my YT user name is FreeEmulatorVideos. I should have my first video or two up on Wednesday night--not sure which games I will try first yet. Any suggestions?

Also, for anyone that isn't aware of this new device, here are some really good benchmark comparisons to other top Android and iOS devices out there: http://www.anandtech.com/show/9289/the-nvidia-shield-android-tv-review/4

My suggestion is to root it immediately and to unlock the GPU's clock speed so it runs at 1Ghz constantly. That way the potential of the GPU not clocking high enough isn't there

Thanks for the tip!  I've rooted my Nexus 7 before using a guide I found online a year or so ago, but I'm not finding much info yet for rooting the new NVIDIA Shield Android TV.  The only thing I've found so far is someone asking how to do it on the xda developers forum, but there aren't any replies.  Do you have a link or any more info on rooting it?

EDIT: Here we go, found some useful info for rooting it. Looks like you'll need a USB OTG adapter, which I had at one point but lost a few months ago... gonna have to grab another one it looks like to root it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/nvidia-shield/general/shield-android-tv-rooted-t3123197

I'm very curious to see how performance is on the X1, the anticipation is killing me! Sonicadvance, been lurking this sub forum for a while, would be pretty cool if you could add some updated Dolphin Android footage to your youtube channel.

Alright, so I've got everything ready to go for rooting the device when it arrives tomorrow.  What do you recommend I use to unlock the GPU's clock speed so it runs at 1Ghz constantly?
OK people, I'm a day late, but I've posted my first of MANY Dolphin videos running on the NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV. It's an 11 minute gameplay video of Super Mario Sunshine.

The game runs really nice in Delfino Airstrip (a lot of the times at full 30 FPS, but some minor dips here and there). However, once you get to Delfino Plaza, it only runs at about an average of 18-19 FPS I'd say.

EDIT: Pikmin video is up now as well (this game runs GREAT!)
