Is this a combination of a Real and Emulated Wiimote? Essentially, I simply want to be able to use the Home button as the Tab key, or to unlock FPS. It'd be extremely handy.

Yes, but it works the opposite of how you want it too.

How do you mean? I actually noticed that there is a function for this now, the Dolphin Hotkey list makes this a possibility correct?

It does for normal controllers, but not for wiimotes afaik.
