in Frequent Questions page, it recommends i7-4700MQ or i7-4930MX.
I was looking for appropriate laptop, and wonder if the higher number CPU will work better such as i7-4720HQ and i7-4710MQ.

Also it said AMD HD5770 (or Geforce GTX 460) will work best, then what about GT755M, GTX860M, GTX 950M, and AMD R9 M265X?

I'm trying to play high performance as best i can.
I am so sorry but i couldn't understand the benchmarks. it doesn't even list above CPU. I need help.
Best Regards.
Multimedia / normal laptop + Dolphin = Overheat
No matter how powerful your laptop is , overheating will make both CPU and GPU throttle . As a result , your laptop lifespan will be shortened and you will lose performance
OEM thermal compound on most laptops are garbage . Aftermarket one is recommended , such as Arctic MX-4 or IC diamond 7
If you want to buy decent laptop for Dolphin , you must spend at least 1000$ for a gaming one
Most laptop have only 1 heatsink for both CPU and GPU , this will cause overheating . You will need 2 heatsink
For quality and performance , i recommend this sager

You must customize the laptop and choose IC diamond & Copper Cooling Upgrade options

thank you very much for your detail advice.
I understand the weak point of the laptop, I actually think going to buy high-spec gaming-laptop which might cost around 1500$ though.

but since you mentioned a heatsink quality makes big difference, i worry about buying gaming-laptop. Will gaming-laptop which you recommended even get worse early?

below is the spec of laptop I desired for reference.
i7-4720HQ
16GB
AMD Radeon R9 M265X
1 heatsink
Oh and plus,

this is what i was gonna buy.
sorry it's japanese page but spec detail is in english.
if this doesn't work, i will go to the biggest PC market in Tokyo and buy gaming-desktop.
above is bud requested somehow

Just get a nice gaming laptop for $1500 and don't worry,  they pretty much all come with excellent cooling.  My ASUS laptop has been going strong for nearly 3 years.
You live in Japan , right ? Same as me
Quote:Just get a nice gaming laptop for $1500 and don't worry, they pretty much all come with excellent cooling
Not all laptop are the same . Excellent cooling does not mean they use aftermarket thermal compound on it
The one he/she linked above isn't a gaming laptop . Although it does cost nearly 1500$ , it will overheat for sure . Only Toshiba Qosmio series are gaming laptop . Customizable laptop allow you to choose thermal compound , CPU , GPU , Ram basically almost everything you desire
i7 4720HQ + R9 265X for 1500$ . I say it's overpriced . The GPU : R9 265X is a mid range GPU which is weaker than GTX 850M (Obviously much slower than GTX 960M which is high-end mobile GPU)
Since you live in Japan , you should get a BTO laptop
Here is an example of a BTO laptop
http://www2.mouse-jp.co.jp/tune/scripts_...1430889494
There should be an option : "CPUグリス" (cpu grease a.k.a thermal compound) . You should choose "【高熱伝導率】ナノダイヤモンドグリス塗布 親和産業 OC7 (人工ナノダイヤモンドパウダー40%含有)" basically IC diamond 7 carat
You can also choose i7 4810MQ which is more powerful than i7 4720HQ for an additional 20000 yen if you want
THis is how the laptop look like http://www.g-tune.jp/note_model/i5300/
The screen size is 15"6 inch 1080p display but like most laptop , the screen is TFT LCD .
However , if you do care about the screen quality , you should go for IGZO from Sharp (somewhat similar to Samsung Super AMOLED or Apple Retina but IGZO is newer and better)
http://www.g-tune.jp/note_model/i421/#bsp
Then again , you must custommize the laptop and choose the thermal compound
Mouse computer locate on Akihabara , you can order laptop online , they will send you one

and that link is really helpful, so I am so grateful for it.
From your detail advice, I gonna take

i7_4810MQ
more than GTX950M
【高熱伝導率】ナノダイヤモンドグリス塗布 親和産業 OC7 (人工ナノダイヤモンドパウダー40%含有)
IGZO
8GB

then i gonna customize from i5703
you really helped me a lot! thank you very much! best regards!
