Quote:======= Runtime Library Requirements =======
Dolphin needs you have to have the libraries listed below installed.

[Windows]
-MS Visual C++ Runtime 2008 SP1: This fixes the "side by side" / "application config" & model errors
Microsoft VC++ 2008 SP1 Redist x86 - For 32bit Windows
Microsoft VC++ 2008 SP1 Redist x64 - For 64bit Windows

-The DirectX March 2009 Runtime: This fixes the plugin loading errors
Note: THIS MEANS UPDATE YOUR DIRECTX EVEN IF YOU HAVE THE VERSION 9.0c or 10 or 10.1!!!!!!
Microsoft DirectX Updater

yes, i installed the latest vc++ runtime environement

specs:
2.4ghz c2d
hd4570 mobility
win 7 ultimate x64
4gb ram

edit: updated to newest drivers: cc 9.9 (yea they work on notebooks...)
problem still persists
maybe your plugins are compiled wrong or mix-match 32bit and 64bit execution binaries, like if loading a 64bit DLL into 32bit dolphin. Simply, try another build.
This Post by omegadox is not about getting Started with Dolphin. This is a technical FAQ.

It goes right from the " Where can I get Dolphin" into talking about plugins and all the other Q and A's and totally skips all the important "Getting Started" stuff that newbies need to know like what to do once they get the program running. And how to load a game. What the options and settings mean. These things should be talked about before you get to the all the why's and wherefores of why things don't work correctly.

As a newbie I looked at this and went, Huh?? Where is all the getting started stuff I need to know.. it's not here!

As a tech FAQ this is very nice to have but as a getting started manual well friend you sure missed the mark there.

I had to find out all about how to really "Get Started" with this program from other sources. You may consider adding a real getting started lesson at the beginning of this thread. omegadox I want to say that I am not trying to upset you or anything, just that the main gist of the post is very lacking.
Have you ever looked through ALL the stickies. Seems like not, that means you've ignored announcement posted by me, so stop complaining.

There is a good thread you need: http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/thread-3533.html

i tried 3 64 bit builds, and it didnt work

however, 32 bit worked without problems Confused

ssbb runs pretty well on my setup (~40 fps opengl)

It is just basics on what requirements you need and FAQ is about the questions that are really asked a lot. It wasn't intended as much of a newbie guide thing which I might do in future. Really, we should get in a help file.
