Well, I suggest you to full upgrade your pc, since that spec is already out of date.
A dual core (or Core2duo) with high clock is needed to run Dolphin, since Dolphin doesn't support quad core.

So a Core2Duo 3.0GHz has better speed when running Dolphin rather than Core2Quad 2.0GHz.

If your motherboard can support it, just get a Nvidia or ATI card that support opengl2.1
I have just installed the Microsoft Visual C++ and DirectX stuff, but Dolphin still won't find my Wiimote plugin. I have the wiiuse.dll and the SDL.dll's yet doesn't make a difference to finding my Wiimote plugin. The Wiimote is the one that came with the Dolphin download. Am I supposed to do something after installing the Visual C++ or DirectX stuff? Or, maybe I might be missing something?

1 more Gig of ram will help , a little , but your CPU will limit emulation (very weak lvl 2 cache ^^)

Thanks for your answer but
What do you mean when you say the cpu will limit emulation (very weak lvl 2 cache ^^)
What I mean is that you CPU is a bit Old and I don't think it can handle Dolphin !

Hey I’m new, I just heard about this emulator today and I’m shocked!
I have current unibody macbook pro.
My question- Is 9600M enough? And do I need linux or Windows or is here a way to run new version of dolphin on mac?Huh thanks

the graphics cards only allows you to use higher resolution und stuff, but wont speed up the emulation itself.

So 9600m works great, the question is more about the cpu.

As far as i know, the newest 17" macbook pro with 9600M use either 2,66 or 2,93ghz core 2 duo.

This should be enough at least for the less demanding games (like SSBM)

Windows(64bit if available) works best at the moment.
