Hi all!
I've tried everything i could think of without any luck. Nothing happens when the message "Looking for other gamecube systems" i showing.
I did following steps on both computers:
- Downloaded the excact same Dolphin version, and i have the ROM that is the same on both computers
- Downloaded openVPN and install TAP, and bridge my LAN connection with the new TAP connection in control panel - network..... (I did the same on both computers)
- Chose BBA under SP1 for gamecube in dolphin
Did i do something wrong with the TAP part? Do i have to setup TAP to connect to the other computer? Or is it just install - activate - done?
I use a router for my network (ASUS RT-AC68U), do i have to forward any ports?
Hope somebody can help
With best regards
Nicolai
It's hard to do. I got it working a few times, but it's a pain in the ass.

Okay, so i don't do anything wrong, I just have to try many times and then it might happen?
Does Mario Kart have any kind of network setup that you can do, or is everything supposed to be automatic? It would theoretically be a lot easier to diagnose the connection if both instances of Dolphin were set to use static IP and you could tell one game to connect specifically to the IP address of the other game, rather than just letting the game search for other GameCubes and hoping for the best.
When you set up the TAP, did you configure the network bridge to use the same settings that your Local Area Connection adapter used to have before you added the bridge? Once you add the bridge it becomes impossible to configure the original adapters, so you have to configure the bridge instead.
All the LAN games (Mario Kart, 1080 Avalanche, Kirby's Air Ride) have no network setup, they use DHCP. They use UPnP to advertise themselves so you know they're working if you can see them in the network browser of windows vista or later.

I did not do any configuration, i just bridged the connection. I can't find any guide for this specific porpose, so i have no idea how to do it?

I just checked, and the game appears under "other units" in network.

Well, both of them can appear, but not two at the same time...
If i connect with PC1 alone, it shows up, if i connect with PC2 alone it shows up too, but with both of them at the same time, there is only one showing up?
Edit:
Another question. I justed tried getting LAN mode on the game BLUR to work (normal windows game), i did not work before i forwarded the port for the game on the router. Could that be the same problem in dolphin? If so, what port do i have to open, and for which computer?
It's not an internet-based game, there's no ports to forward.
They should both show up together, otherwise they won't be able to see each other.
