Tell me. How do you making an HD Texure pack exactly? Does it involve tampering with the game disc?
There's an option under the advanced tab in graphics settings that allows you to dump textures. You can then change these files in photoshop or something, and then put them into the load folder. Check this out: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Forum-hd-...e-projects
Yeah but does it involve tampering the disc?
Dolphin doesn't read games from the disc.
But what does that have to do with tampering with a disc.
Neither the disk nor the disk image need changing. When an emulated game tells Dolphin to load a specific texture, it checks if there's a replacement in Dolphin's Load folder, and if so, it loads that instead.
Making a HD texture pack does not involve tampering with the disc (or the ISO, or the WAD, or anything similar). It only involves putting things in Dolphin's Load folder.
So dumping textures to make better ones is not tampering right?
No. Dumping textures does not modify the disc image.
So instead how does making HD Texture Packs work exactly?
