I have read that when a game tries to save, dolphin should automatically create a memory card file. My computer does this, however the file cannot be used as a memory card because the "card size is invalid (0x58000 bytes)".

If anyone can help me with this I will be eternally grateful, I am trying really hard to find things to do that are not studying this exam season.

Thanks!
your memorycard is corrupted somehow. it is much smaller than it should be
Delete/move C:/user/<you>/my documents/dolphin/memorycard A.<region>.raw it will be 352kb
then try again

Hey thanks for the help! Would this also work on a mac? And if so, how?
Yes, it would, and it would work the same way. You would probably have to figure out how to enable file extensions in OSX and just find the file location in Documents (not where the Dolphin executable is).
oh, mybad, I should've looked at your profile to see what OS you're on.
from memory I think it is in ~/Library/Application Support/Dolphin/GC/
