Yes, but at least you had the games
Spin-offs that fill some voids in the time-line, but no story-line progression. The 3DS game was a good one, but it was just more buildup for 3

DDD is a real sequel. Both BBS and 358/2 are also critical to the story, though they are prequels (to KH1 and KH2 respectively).

@delroth:
Because BBS is a prequel, I wasn't counting it as real sequel. Chain of Memories and 358/2 days filled the gaps between 1 and 2, so also not a real sequel. So while they do have an important part in the storyline and I enjoyed them, they didn't advance the progression of the storyline.
Re:coded just looked into data provided by the journals that were written in 1 and 2.
While I loved DDD, and gave very important information, it was basically just Sora and Riku taking their Mark of Mastery exam. No progress was made to find Ventus or Aqua, and no clash between the 7 of light and the 13 of darkness.

So because it's not the sequel you expected it to be it doesn't count?

No, because it's not a numbered main game (1, 2, 3.....)

Oh boy, ok I've always been a FF freak, not going lie about that. Here's my current playlist at the moment. I currently have FF9 on my phone via epsxe and am on disc 2. I gotta say the story has me pulled in, I'm just waiting to acquire summons already since I wanna see them in action. I also have FF13 for PC and not finished yet, I think Lighting is a pretty cool character and is good to see a female protagonist once for a change. Also have FF12 via pcsx2 that I wanna get into as well since I heard it was good too, ughh too many FF's so little time (I wish I didn't have to work and provide income for the family and just play FF all dayyyy at home, with some burgers and coke on the table, in order words, I wish I was living with my parents again)
So far I've beaten FF7 with all ultimate weapons, all materias, all super bosses defeated. FF8 was at the end of the game but dam save file got corrupted...curse you! FFX completed with all eidolons and ultimate weapons. All time greats includes in no particular order: The Xenoseries: (Xenogears, excellent game!, Xenosaga I, II & III) SO2, SO3 (I agree this game was really weird with the story and all) FF3, Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, and Lunar: Silver Star Complete. I heard the next Xeno game called Xenoblade Chronicles X for the Wii U looks promising, however, the story about some last US colony surviving story is not doing it for me, we'll see.

My turn. Right now I'm enjoying Persona 3 FES on PS2, cool game that mix dungeon-RPG and visual-novel codes. <3
I'm also on Bravely Default but it's boring, my desire to play it decreases every time I launch the game :/ Plus, I don't understand how to swap between jobs. My "best" team is Tiz as Monk, Edea as Knight, Ringabel as Black Mage and Agnès as White Mage and every time I try to change something, first I have to do a farming session (-_-) to level-up the job and second I feel like my team isn't as balanced than my original team. Will I regret it if I go through the whole game without changing jobs?
