After some tests in some games, using opengl and directx plugin I conclude that directx plugin works faster than open gl but with a lot of textures errors. I think with directx plug in, tloz:ww and tp will work at full speed.

but its sad because directx plug in has a lot of problems =(

ex: mp7 for me with open gl only plays at 40fps. with directx i get 60fps or more (if framelimit disabled).
would dx10 or 11 be any better?? dx9 and dx10 are two totally different programs...they arent even compatable so theres got to be alot of changes there so sum1 should build a dx10 plugin instead of the dx9
I think they should start working more in dx plugin because windows is adapted for any directx, 9 10 or 11.
yea i kno...i think that they should make two teams and have a contest or sumthing...cuz nowadays most ppls have dx10 if they want to run dolphin they will automatically have that and people tht just want to try it have dx9 normally...so two teams... open gl vs direct X

jw wat is open AL?
i belive it stands for open audio language but im guessing
ssbbtriforce, try Metroid Prime games with Direct3D and you'll get amazing result Tongue
lol k t hanx
I can't wait to see the DX9 plugin when it is further finished. My computer seems to run better with that plugin. Games that couldn't dream of running at full speed in OpenGL on my computer were running normal on the DX9 one.

I imagine it'll take a good year (or more) for that plugin to become finished or something, but I have patience so I can wait. Smile

cmccmc

i would say about another 2 months to get it to a decent state where most games would look normal. That is if rice and ector keep updating it
I tested metroid prime 2 and soul calibur 2

the same thing for DirectX. Fast play but textures errors.
