Yeah, and PSO players are still paying for that decision to this day. Some players need AR codes to connect to private servers, but you can only do that if you have an old AR that allows entering codes manually. There are plenty of malicious cheats to crash other users' games, but nobody does that anymore. If you're still interested in a decade-old game, it's probably because you want to actually play it, rather than cheat on it.

When it comes to other games, now people are starting to get interested in using AR codes to make GC games run at 60 FPS and such, but you'd need an old AR for stuff like that, too. Hopefully Dolphin's "cheat" support will eventually advance to the point where a real AR isn't needed anymore for this kind of thing.
I tried using an ISO dump of Action Replay 1.14C for Gamecube, but apparently I screwed it up pretty badly. (IntCPU: Unknown instruction 00000000at PC = 0064cb30 last_PC = 8120053c LR = 80044a5c). I think I'll stop messing with things I have no idea how to use. ^^;
Make sure you have bios enabled Smile
Oh. Duh. Tongue
Well, the BIOS itself gave me a FIFO Overflow, gatherpipe too fast error, followed by an unknown opcode and then some gibberish errors, but the Action Replay ROM worked. Tongue
Yeah, i forgot to mention that in the article. I think we just need to disable the popups as those may be valid opcodes afterall.
