I'm probably just being stupid but I can't seem to find where to post a new thread on the GameCube forum. I don't even see the option to post a new thread (The grey button)

Is there really no thread for the game you want to talk about? I think it's locked down, so it's not spammed with multiple threads for the same games. Also, the 1st post is always linking to the wiki, can't trust normal users to do that properly.

You should be able to search the forum to find the existing thread for the game you want to discuss. That's why you can't create topics of your own.

Basically, what they said is correct. The GameCube, Wii, and other forums are for official game threads, and are locked down to prevent tons of "can you help me with this game?" threads. Just do a search for the game you are after and post in the official thread for it!
