Ugh. Not this again.

It's possible. It would probably be a fork though. Also GPU emulation would be different. (Among other things)

A whole new emulator would have to be made practically from scratch for a whole new console. There would be little point in even calling it dolphin at that point.

^This.
Oh by the way. You can also start from libreoffice and write a Wii U emulator based on that. The power of Ctrl+A+Del!

It does mean, however, that whatever ends up perfectly emulating the WiiU may end up also emulating the Wii and GC, potentially making Dolphin obsolete. That's scary.

Why would you think a WiiU emulator, written from scratch, would properly emulate a bunch of hardware not used by WiiU games?

Haha, what am I reading. Isn't WW a GameCube game? Some GameCube games will get a remake meanwhile some Wii games will simply port into eShop format.
I still don't understand what's holding Nintendo from releasing GameCube games to eShop... Nintendont already made this possible and it's not even an emulator, gosh.

Same reason why they won't release a pokemon MMO and why they won't release retro console games for mobile, they're Nintendo.

I said 'perfectly' emulate for a reason - it implies the emulator can do everything the real machine can do, and as the real machine can play Wii games (and GC with a little work from the user) a perfect emulator would be able to also.
