So today I just got my wii menu on, and was hoping to play some vc games. The problem is, when i setup an emulated wii remote, Im having a problem. I set my left stick to wasd, but when I play ssb64, the d stick does a different control the walk right. This is rly annoying, so until i get bluetooth working, can someone tell me how to setup a classic controller with d working?
Is keyboard your only choice because it's easier with a gamepad or a XBOX 360 controller.
I haven't played games with a keyboard since early 2000's and I remember it was annoying since you can't play well at all with a keyboard.

Its my only option now, because I don't have Bluetooth setup yet (I'm ordering the part). All the other games I own run fine if not preferred with the keyboard, So I've never had any need for a controller since until i started emulating. I confirmed that when i press the D key, it does the R or ZR trigger control.
Can anyone tell me what the problem is? I'd like to be able to play it with the keyboard for now
Can you post a picture of your controller config?

Sure.
You have the Wiimote D-pad and the Right stick of the classic controller mapped to same inputs. Clear the D-pad from the Wiimote side and see if that works

I did that and now its acting rly weird now. So in smash64, the wsad works in the character menu, but not in game. ingame s makes me jump up instead of ducking, d makes me grab, it works fine in mariokart 64. I'm getting like

i can get a video of it that might help. but anyway, the keyboard doesnt work in smash only. I don't think its the game, because if I setup the arrows as the L stick, it works.
I have no idea

Try clearing the inputs with the Clear button and try setting it all up again?
I tried that like 10 times. I'll get you a video here, so you can see what its doing.
